SM Foundation, Inc. now accepting applicants for school year 2012-13


SM Foundation in its aim to provide helping hands to deserving students is again opening its door to accept applications for scholarship for school-year 2012-2013.

Thru SM Foundation’s scholarship program, students who has the following qualifications may avail of this good opportunity. (a) Must be a graduate of public high school, (b) total household income of at most P150,000 per year, and (c) Fourth year weighted average of at least 88% in the second or third grading period.

Scholarship is open for the following courses: BS in Computer Science, BS in Information Technology, BS in Information Management, BS in Electronics and Communication Engineering, BS in Computer Engineering, BS in Civil Engineering, BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Elementary Education, BS in Secondary Education major in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English. BS in Accountancy BSC/BSBA major in Accountancy, BS in Pharmacy.

SM Foundation partner schools in the Bicol Region are University of Nueva Caceres, Universidad de Sta. Isabel, Ateneo de Naga University, Naga College Foundation. NCR partner schools are: Adamson University, Centro Escolar University, Far Eastern University, National University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Philippine Normal University, Philippine School of Business Administration, University of the East – Caloocan, University of the East-Manila, University of the Philippines-Diliman and Manila.

Application forms are now available in all Customer Service Counters of SM Supermall, SM Department Store, SM Supermarket and Save More. All accomplished forms and required documents must be submitted on or before December 20, 2012. Qualified applicants will be notified through telephone call/sms messages as to their schedule of interview and IQ test from January – March 2013.

SM Foundation’s college scholarship was established in 1993. To date, SM has a total of 1,200 scholars, 164 of them graduated this year from various universities across the country. SM scholars are provided with free tuition fees and monthly allowances. They can also earn their keep during the summer and Christmas breaks by working in SM stores.
