Al Jazeera English (AJE), is an international 24-hour English-language news and current affairs TV channel owned and operated by Al Jazeera Media Network, which is partly funded by the House of Thani and is headquartered in Doha, Qatar.
It is a sister channel of the U.S.-based English-language channel Al Jazeera America (AJAM), the Bosnia and Herzegovina-based multi-language Al Jazeera Balkans, and the original, Arabic-language, Al Jazeera (sometimes referred to as Al Jazeera Arabic). The station broadcasts news features and analysis, documentaries, live debates, current affairs, business, technology, and sports, and claims to be the first global high-definition television network.
TV5 (formerly known as ABC 5) is a major Filipino commercial television network based in Mandaluyong City, Philippines. Owned by TV5 Network, Inc., solely owned by MediaQuest Holdings, Inc. which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of the beneficial trust fund of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company headed by business tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan.
Named after its flagship station in Metro Manila, DWET-TV which is carried in VHF channel 5, TV5 is broadcasting to over 25 other owned-and-operated stations, and 8 affiliated television stations nationwide as its programming is also carried overseas through Kapatid TV5 channel.
