Atty. Remelisa Alfelor-Moraleda, University of Northeastern Philippines (UNEP) President went home from another fruitful voyage from the Land of the Queen still beaming with pride for she has in her hands, another international recognition from England, United Kingdom.
The recognition – the International Quality Crown Awards- Gold Category from London was bestowed on UNEP, the lone recipient and the only educational institution from the Philippines.
The Total Quality Management Award took place at the Guoman Tower Hotel Convention Hall in London, United Kingdom on November 25, during the 2012 International Quality Awards. The momentous occasion was held simultaneously with the Business Initiative Directions (BID) International Quality Convention – which has gathered leading business companies all over the world.
The Business Initiative Directions (BID) is an organization based in Madrid Spain which recognizes companies around the world for their continuous pursuit to achieve Quality and Excellence. It was created to recognize the prestige and innovations that leading companies, organizations and entrepreneurs have contributed to enhance economic growth of various businesses around the world.
Moraleda walked the same path that prominent personalities have stepped on and shook with successful hands that have contributed to the soaring economy of various international communities.
“Standing on the stage together with the world’s dignitaries, bigwigs and prominent personalities, mostly business tycoons made me really feel that we, Filipinos, can indeed be real players in the international domain. It made me feel proud that I am a Filipino. The recognition is also a testimony of UNEP’s commitment to quality, leadership, technology and innovation,” Moraleda said in an interview.
UNEP stood proud together with 48 countries around the world “When I received the official communication that UNEP was chosen to receive the award, I was both elated and confounded, trying to let the good news sink in before I share the declaration to every one in the university. Standing in the stage with distinguished men and women of honor, made me feel really so proud that I belong to the UNEP community,” Moraleda added.
